    I think Cheddar cheese is what is recommended. For some reason people here like cheddar cheese with apples.

      I've been looking for this recipe for ages. It's really delicious. Don't be put off by the cheese it really compliments the apple.

    Have made this several times, for a youth group, they loved it, and so do I. The cheese compliments the this recipe. Enjoy!!

Scanned from the 10th Edition Aerophos cookbook July 1955 This book was a staple in Australian kitchens throughout the 1950s Sometimes the old classics are the best! I love this cookbook, I picked it up for $10 a few years ago and have had a lot of use out of it. I found this old ad from a 1948 newspaper for Aerophos, it was a kind of raising agent.

Continental Deli - Flan in a Can

So this week I purchased the much hyped Continental Deli - Flan in a Can.  I love the graphics on the can. When I have tried it I will come back and edit my post with a review. This isn't a paid promo, just sharing food I love.  Edit 22 September 2020 Oh my gosh, so delicious if you happen to come across one buy it! The supplier I bought from has sold out. It was sweet with a beautiful taste of vanilla. Will purchase a few more when I can.
